former Tennessee women basketball coach Kellie Harper set to visit dolphins on…

The Oklahoma football team is getting ready for their SEC debut, and they anticipate an interesting conference opener. Tennessee football’s trip to Norman to play the Sooners is scheduled for September 21. Josh Heupel, the head coach of the Volunteers, was the quarterback for the Sooners during their most recent national championship run as a collegiate player at Oklahoma. Brent Venables, the head coach of Oklahoma, was part of the coaching staff when Heupel guided them to that national championship. This is undoubtedly a significant game for both head coaches…
Not only is it Oklahoma football’s first SEC match, but they’ll be facing a legendary player from the Sooners. Josh Heupel and Brent Venables are going to experience that in a different way.
According to a tweet from Brett McMurphy, Heupel stated, “First time I will have been back,” during SEC media days. Returning to Oklahoma will be truly unique. For me, a completely different perspective.
It will be interesting to see how the Oklahoma fans welcome Heupel back as well. There will be a lot to pay attention to, and then there’s also the football game that pits two teams with high hopes for the season against each other. It will be a fun game.
Venables stated, “I have this deep appreciation for Josh, especially as a player,” in response to a Brett McMurphy tweet. “I owe him.” With him, I took home my first national title. Without Hype (in 2000), we could not have succeeded. His toughness, guts, and leadership.”
There is a great deal of respect between these two guys, so it should be intriguing to watch them go at it on the football field in September.
