According to ESPN’s Chris Low, the redshirt sophomore is projected to start Saturday’s season opener against Middle Tennessee State after receiving the majority of first-team reps during preseason workouts, ahead of Tyler Buchner, Ty Simpson, and Dylan Lonergan.

This week’s release of Alabama’s official Week 1 depth chart was highly anticipated since it would provide light on the quarterback position.
