Fantastic NHRA drag racing Thirty days after the 300 mph crash, John Force was discharged from the hospital.

PHOENIX (AP) — The legendary drag racer John Force of the NHRA has been released from the hospital after receiving rehabilitation for a traumatic brain injury he had in a crash at the Virginia Nationals last month that involved 300 mph of fire and debris.
John Force Racing released a statement on Tuesday stating that the 75-year-old has been released from Barrow Neurological Institute.
In the statement, Force’s daughter Ashley Hood stated, “He finally gets to sleep in his own bed.”
The 16-time Funny Car champion was involved in a wreck during the first round of eliminations in June that resulted in a cracked sternum among other disabilities, including traumatic brain injury.
Force will collaborate with Californian outpatient therapists who specialize in treating traumatic brain injuries.
Force suffered severe injuries in a racing accident in Ennis, Texas, in 2007 at the age of 58. He has kept up his stellar racing, taking home his second victory of the year and setting a record for the 157th NHRA triumph in New Hampshire.
