Very Sadly: Hurricane Debby swamped Florida and Georgia, killing six people….

According to reports, Hurricane Debby left at least 110,000 people without power on Tuesday. Five people are said to have died in Florida and one in Georgia.

Florida: Hurricane Debby left tons of water in its path and more than 100,000 people without power, according to Governor Ron DeSantis, despite not being as strong as Hurricanes Ian or Idalia. Five storm victims in Florida and one in Georgia have now lost their lives.

During a news conference in Steinhatchee on Tuesday, DeSantis provided an update on Florida’s recovery following Hurricane Debby. The devastation between Debby and Idalia, which also made landfall in the Big Bend region in 2023, according to the governor, is “night and day.”

According to NBC News, Debby, a terrible storm, was to blame for the deaths of four individuals in Florida. This brings the total number of fatalities to five. A missing boater’s body was discovered in Gulfport.

At least five people have been killed in the region by Debby as of Tuesday, according to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp. The hurricane also claimed the life of a 19-year-old resident of Moultrie, Georgia.

Debby allegedly hit the Big Bend at 7 a.m. as a Category 1 hurricane with 80 mph gusts, and DeSantis said the storm roughly followed the path of its counterpart, August 2023’s Idalia.
