Tropical Storm Debby drenches Georgia and South Carolina

With Tropical Storm Debby moving away from Florida and toward the Eastern Seaboard, all indications suggest that the storm season in 2024 will be extremely deadly.

Debby’s most recent update: Tropical Storm As per the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Debby is getting closer to making landfall in South Carolina (NOAA).

It is anticipated that the storm will arrive along the coast early on Thursday morning, greatly increasing the potential of flash flooding in Wilmington and Myrtle Beach. There is a moderate chance of flooding in Charlotte and Raleigh as the storm moves across the Carolinas.

After that, Debby will plow across the remainder of the Eastern United States; until Saturday morning, the risk of flooding will redouble north of the Mason-Dixon line in northern Pennsylvania and Upstate New York.
