Veteran wide receiver Damiere Byrd tried out for the Bills on Monday, and he will be joining the team.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Byrd is set to sign a contract with the Bills. The team is also adding quarterback Ben DiNucci to the 90-man roster.
Byrd played one game with the Falcons last season and had 13 catches for 268 yards and two touchdowns in 2022.
Since beginning his NFL career in 2016, he has played for the Bears, Patriots, Cardinals, and Panthers.
In light of Chase Claypool’s recent absence from workouts and Bryan Thompson’s hamstring injury sustained during the preseason opener, Byrd gives the Bills a seasoned and fit player for practice.
