KNOXVILLE: The non-conference schedule for Tennessee Women’s Basketball was released by head coach Kim Caldwell on Tuesday. The Lady Vols will play six schools that participated in the NCAA Tournament the previous year.

Among them are Iowa and UConn, participants in the 2024 NCAA Final Four. This season, the Huskies, who rank third in ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Preseason Top 25, will play at Food City Center alongside No. 18 Florida State, another ranked non-league team. At the Women’s Champions Classic in Brooklyn, New York, UT will play the Hawkeyes, the national runner-up team from the previous season.

Outside of league play, Tennessee will also play three in-state teams, including UT Martin and Middle Tennessee, two 2024 NCAA qualifiers, at home. They will also go to LVFL and Memphis. Alex Simmons (Fuller) in a competition.

In 2024–25, the Big Orange will play ten games against teams that are ranked in the ESPN Way-Too-Early preseason poll. They include road trips to No. 6 Texas, No. 7 LSU, and No. 25 Kentucky, as well as home games against No. 1 South Carolina, No. 3 UConn, No. 7 LSU, No. 13 Oklahoma, No. 18 Florida State, No. 21 Alabama, and No. 23 Ole Miss. On October 31, the Lady Vols play their first game when Carson-Newman comes to town for an exhibition. Tennessee will host five home games to begin the regular season in November, beginning on November 5 against Samford and November 7 against UT Martin.

The perennial NCAA Tournament program will arrive on Nov. 12 for the second game in a four-game series. On Nov. 16 and 26, respectively, Liberty and Western Carolina will make their way to town.
