Parts of central and southwest Saskatchewan are under a tornado warning.

A tornado warning has been issued for portions of southwest and central Saskatchewan.

A tornado warning has been issued by Environment Canada (EC) for portions of southwest and central Saskatchewan.

Meteorologists are monitoring a strong thunderstorm that may turn into a tornado in the RM of Hart Butte, which includes Coronach, and in the RM of Poplar Valley, which includes Rockglen and Fife Lake, according to EC at 5:15 p.m.

When hazardous weather is forecast, people are encouraged to seek shelter as soon as possible. People are urged to seek cover and relocate to the lowest floor of a building if they hear a roaring sound or observe a funnel cloud.
