Lukas Nelson made his final decision to Quite his career in 2024…see more

by Nick Choate and remastered by Adam Grover, under the project name Backside of 30.
The original recording of 30 was done in Blue Smoke Studios in Ft. Worth, Texas, and Rosewood Studios in Tyler, Texas. It showcases Jinks’ distinctive southern sound and captures his Texas heritage. He intended to revive it more than a decade and a half later, saying it was a unique endeavor and a “big step” for his writing:
“I genuinely adore the 30 album; I believe it marked a significant advancement in my writing, and it was time for a remaster, new addition, and rerelease.”
Featuring all of the original songs along with a brand-new song titled “When the New Wears Off,” which was produced by Ryan Hewitt (Red Hot Chili Peppers, ZZ Top), Backside of 30 will be available on September 27.
I’m a firm believer that a good song is a good song no matter what decade you hear it in, and seeing as Jinks is one of the most talented artists in the world of both independent and mainstream country, his timeless song will be as relevant as ever in 2024.
