Alabama Will Seek Retribution Against USF in Week 2 After Last Year’s Disaster

In what was anticipated to be a significant comeback game last season after the Crimson Tide’s home loss to Texas, Alabama headed to Tampa Bay. Instead, Alabama glided out of danger with a 17-3 victory, marking the second straight odd performance from a Nick Saban squad. The Crimson Tide rotated through several quarterbacks, and the offensive line appeared sluggish, giving up five sacks, leaving the offense in total disarray. Still, Alabama overcame the SEC and made an appearance in the college football playoffs after their disappointing performance against the Bulls.
This Saturday, the Crimson Tide will get another chance to match up with USF head coach Alex Golesh and his gritty group.
QB Jalen Milroe was benched against South Florida in favor of Tyler Buchner and Ty Simpson following a two-interception performance against Texas. In this game the previous year, Milroe saw no snaps on the field.
