“College GameDay” with Nick Saban and Pat McAfee: “The most unlikely bromance of all time”

Is Nick Saban’s work as a “College GameDay” analyst superior to his work as a coach?

As Pat McAfee sees it.

“He has been fantastic,” McAfee stated to 247Sports. “In some way, he will look better on TV than he did on the sidelines. And that clearly demonstrates the fruits of all his labor.

The remark was a part of a longer and more thorough examination by 247Sports, which was given access to “GameDay” behind the scenes to examine the former Alabama football coach’s journey from the sidelines to the nation’s most watched college football pregame show.

In case you haven’t noticed, Saban and McAfee seem to be the main characters. There was complete chaos at the end of Saturday’s College Station program. With Johnny Manziel as a celebrity guest picker, the panelists made predictions, McAfee ripped off his shirt, Lee Corso donned a leprechaun-themed outfit, and Saban appeared to be having a great time.

According to a GameDay crew member who spoke with 247 Sports, the “most unlikely bromance of all time” is the Saban-McAfee connection.

The paper claims that McAfee’s capacity to reassure individuals is a contributing factor.

Producer Jim Gaiero remarked, “Pat has an innate ability to make anybody feel comfortable because he’s respectful to him but not kissing his ass.” And I believe that’s what sets Pat apart from other individuals.
