Following their first-week shutout, Alabama’s defensive players are not happy.

This was made clear to the Crimson Tide defense this week when they practiced on the field by Tides defensive coordinator Kane Wommack. Considering that Alabama has two takeaways in its season opening, one area of focus for them is turnovers. The Tide defense has set a higher bar for themselves and is aware that they can still do better.
Jihaad Campbell, a linebacker for Alabama, met with media earlier this week at practice to discuss the standard.
“Coach Wommack summed it up best,” remarked Campbell. “As we play each opponent over the following few weeks, we will undoubtedly need to force more turnovers from this defense. And that just naturally occurs when we all play as a team, racking at the ball, tipping, intercepting, and making sacks. We will learn more from those as well.
The South Florida Bulls’ offense will be faced by the Alabama defense on Saturday at home. It will be fascinating to watch how the Tide does in terms of turnovers following the first game.
