Nick Saban is more likable now that he’s left Alabama, according to a former Auburn football player.

After stepping down from his longtime position as head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Nick Saban has become a more likeable figure, according to former Auburn football player Anthony Schwartz. Schwartz expressed this sentiment on Twitter in response to Saban’s repeated assertion that Hugh Freeze’s Tigers will be among the SEC’s most improved teams on September 7th’s College GameDay.
“Idk about yall but Saban has been a lot more likable since he stopped coaching that team up north,” Schwartz commented.
Freeze, who claimed that Saban should have four more victories over the former Alabama coach in his career, may have been discussing his interpretation of the rat position with Saban. However, he did foresee Georgia Tech’s ACC status before they managed to elude FSU.
In any case, as a College GameDay analyst, Saban isn’t attempting to tease Auburn and tantalize Tiger supporters. He is treating the craft with class, adhering to the Xs and Os, and scoffing at stories.
