Most Recent Heartbreaking Paul Finebaum Crises SEC Fans for Having Unreasonably High Expectations Following Week 1

There was a significant coaching shift at the top of collegiate football this summer. The head coaching post for the Alabama Crimson Tide was vacant following Nick Saban’s retirement. Kalen DeBoer, the former head coach of the Washington Huskies, took over as Saban’s successor.
Fans want Saban, who won six national titles at Alabama, to continue to succeed with DeBoer. On “SEC Nation,” former defensive back Roman Harper of Alabama expressed his satisfaction with the Crimson Tide’s performance in Week 1. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers were defeated 63-0 by Alabama.
Paul Finebaum promptly brought Harper and the Alabama fan base back down to earth. After just one game, Harper, the former Alabama player, expected greatness from DeBoer, Finebaum said, comparing Harper to every caller on “The Paul Finebaum Show”.
“Laura, what you heard from Roman wasn’t a trained analyst talking,” Finebaum remarked. “He’s the reason behind every Finebaum caller, as they say after one game, ‘We adore Nick Saban, but step aside, old man! We’re going to win another national title because we have Kalen DeBoer.”
