QB Jalen Milroe speaks with the media following Alabama's 42-16 win over USF

To say that Alabama’s offensive performance against USF on Saturday was sloppy would be an understatement. Jalen Milroe of Parker Brailsford fumbled a snap, among other self-inflicted wounds.

Milroe gave the ball back to the Bulls, giving up the handle on third and goal, as the Crimson Tide attempted to punch it into the endzone in a 14–13 game.

Last week, against Western Kentucky, Milroe and Brailsford also had an incident; this week, the quarterback fully accepted responsibility for the turnover.

Milroe remarked, “That’s all on me; I got to do better under center.” “I need to communicate with the shot clock more effectively, especially now that we’re getting so close to the end zone. So I accept full responsibility for that.

The turnover occurred early in the fourth quarter of the game, but Alabama’s defense saved it, preventing the Bulls offense from capitalizing on the momentum.
Throughout the game, there were numerous opportunities that were lost, including two lengthy scores that were eliminated because of holding penalties and a fumble by Milroe deep in USF territory.

The game was eventually secured by running back Jam Miller’s 56-yard touchdown run and freshman Ryan Williams’ 43-yard touchdown reception. These were the customary explosive plays.

However, the Alabama attack must complete its drives in order to have extended possessions.

“We have to score when we’re on that yard line, no matter what,” Milroe declared. That’s the strategy for our way of thinking. We need to score when we approach the end zone and we want to keep stacking plays that are advantageous.
