Following Alabama’s historic ruling, Pat McAfee sends Nick Saban a strong two-word message.

Former Alabama coach Nick Saban.

McAfee praised his colleague “College GameDay” analyst for having his own field at Bryant-Denny Stadium named in his honor.

Pat McAfee was one of the first to congratulate Nick Saban on having Bryant-Denny Stadium in Alabama named after him.

A Tweet from the Crimson Tide account featuring Saban at midfield with his family drew a response from McAfee.

Commencing in 2007, Nick Saban’s illustrious career at Alabama is widely regarded as one of the most remarkable coaching runs in college football history. He turned the Crimson Tide into a formidable team over 17 seasons, winning six national titles in the process.

An iconic period came to an end in January when he announced his retirement. Not long after, Alabama revealed the plans for “Saban Field.” Post-College GameDay appearance, Saban drove from Ann Arbor to Tuscaloosa.

In his address, Saban remarked, “It is a great honor to have the field named after a legacy that we have been able to create here.” “However, I want this legacy to be able to honor every player who participated and gave their all; every coach who assisted those players in growing; our administration, which laid the groundwork for our success by giving us all the resources we required to be the best program in the nation; and you, the supporters, who never stopped being encouraging in the way you supported our players, our program, and everything we did.”
