Nick Saban appeared to be just as irritated as the other fans during Saturday night’s Alabama game at Bryant-Denny Stadium’s Saban Field.

Late in the second quarter, the former Alabama coach headed to the sidelines in anticipation of a halftime show dedicated to his memory.

Alabama was ahead 14-6 at the same point. A holding penalty caused Jalen Milroe’s 74-yard touchdown run to be called back.

Timely penalties have impeded the Tide’s poor play in the first half of their matchup with South Florida. Eight penalties totaling sixty yards had been called against Alabama, but none more serious than the one that negated the touchdown run.
