ESPN SP+ Projects Alabama vs. Wisconsin’s Third-Week Score.

There have only been two college football meetings between the Wisconsin Badgers and Alabama Crimson Tide; the first one took place in 1928. In their 2015 match, Alabama prevailed 35–17.
Since then, both programs have evolved. Luke Fickell, the head coach of the Cincinnati Bearcats, has taken over the program in place of Paul Chryst, the previous head coach of Wisconsin. Following his retirement from coaching at the end of the previous season, Kalen DeBoer, a former head coach of the Washington Huskies, is in charge of the Crimson Tide.
The algorithm was developed in 2008 by Bill Connelly of ESPN to forecast college football games. The model suggested that Alabama would win the match by a wide margin. In Madison, it was expected that Alabama would triumph 33–15. With a predicted victory margin of 17.5, the Crimson Tide’s victory margin was most likely 86%.
This season, both teams have struggled offensively. In Week 2, Alabama defeated the USF Bulls 42–16. Nonetheless, the Crimson Tide led 14-6 at the half and led 21-16 at one point in the fourth quarter.
In Week 1, Wisconsin defeated the Western Michigan Broncos 28-14, and in Week 2, they defeated the South Dakota Coyotes 27-13.
A number of Alabama athletes, including defensive end Jaylen Key, linebacker Dallas Turner, offensive tackle JC Latham, cornerback Terrion Arnold, and corner Kool-Aid McKinstry, were selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.
