Kane Wommack, the defensive coordinator for Alabama, responds to Justin Jefferson’s ejection for targeting

Linebacker Justin Jefferson of Alabama football was called and sent off for targeting during the second half of Saturday’s game between Alabama and USF.
Kane Wommack, the defensive coordinator for the Crimson Tide, met with the media to talk about his response to Jefferson’s dismissal.
“Undoubtedly, it is always disheartening to have a talented player unavailable for at least half of the match,” Wommack remarked. “We examined the play. I’ve examined it from about every perspective possible. I believe we simply need to advise the young man to “keep playing.” That’s just the way things are. We’ll handle it and prepare ourselves for him in the latter half.
With 10 tackles, one tackle for loss, and one sack throughout the game, Jefferson stood out in the heart of the Crimson Tide defense.
