In Week 3, ESPN college football commentator Nick Saban was confident in a huge shock. During his preview of the college football schedule on ESPN “College GameDay,” former head coach of Alabama, Nick Saban, said that a preseason Top 10 team would lose at their home stadium.

Saban went after a team that had begun the season with a 0โ€“2 record.

In Week 3, he predicted that the Memphis Tigers will defeat the Florida State Seminoles.
Following the Tigers’ third consecutive loss of the season to drop the Seminoles to 0-3, the college football guru made the proper decision. They lost at Doak Campbell Stadium, 20โ€“12.

As of right now, Florida State has recorded its second 0โ€“3 start in 2021 under Mike Norvell.

The entire game was controlled by the Memphis Tigers. Memphis held down the fort when the Seminoles appeared to have life in the second half and were making an effort to rally.

In almost every important metric, Memphis outperformed Florida State. Against the Seminoles, they had 337 total yards to their 238. They also had 18 first downs compared to FSU’s 11 and 7 third-down conversions compared to FSU’s 2.

After triumphing over North Alabama and Troy earlier in the season, the Tigers’ record now stands at 3-0.

Before the Tigers’ biggest game of the season, Nick Saban appeared to have faith in the team. His faith in Memphis paid off, and they triumphed as they departed Tallahassee.
