Wisconsin was so badly defeated by Alabama on Saturday that the Wolfpack had to convene a team meeting following the game.

Is Alabama football offensive line ready for Georgia after Wisconsin win?

WBRC – Madison, Wisconsin Wisconsin was easily defeated 42–10 by Alabama on Saturday, thanks in large part to quarterback Jalen Milroe, in the program’s first visit to Camp Randall Stadium since 1928.

In the Crimson Tide’s first away game of the season, Milroe caught 12 catches for 196 yards and three touchdowns, enough for five touchdowns in all. Having gained 75 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, he is also the team’s top rusher.

The 53-yard field goal by the Badgers (2-1) gave them the early lead, but it came at a price.

Tyler Van Dyke, the quarterback for Wisconsin, scrambled down the sideline for a first down on the opening possession of the game. Van Dyke sustained a right knee injury during the play, and he did not return to the game.

Redshirt sophomore Braedyn Locke, who replaced him, went on to complete 13 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown in the third quarter.

No. 4 Alabama (3-0) scored 28 consecutive points after the first field goal, including a touchdown pass from Milroe, a 34-yard run by Jam Miller, and a rushing score.

Alabama recorded 20 penalties in the first two games of the season, including 13 for 120 yards against USF last week, coming into this week’s game against the Badgers.

The Tide was only whistled four times for 40 yards against Wisconsin on Saturday.

In the third quarter, Wisconsin put together a 17-play, 75-yard drive that culminated with Locke completing a three-yard throw on fourth down to trim Alabama’s advantage, 28-10, just as the game appeared to be in hand for Alabama.

Josh Cuevas’ 37-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter and Milroe’s 10-yard touchdown run in the third quarter would be enough to seal the victory for the Tide.

While Alabama is off, Wisconsin will visit USC the following week before playing top-ranked Georgia in Bryant-Denny Stadium on September 28.
