pair of Alabama player earn fun honor after dominant win against Wisconsin in week 3
Jalen Milroe, the quarterback for the Crimson Tide, won SEC Player of the Week for the first time this season following his five-touchdown performance in Alabama’s 42-10 victory over Wisconsin. With Milroe at the hub of the offense, Alabama faced its first power-four program of the season, and he did not disappoint. With 14 carries for 75 yards and two rushing scores, Milroe was the center of attention for the rushing attack. The offense’s explosive element persisted as Milroe completed touchdown throws on possession of 31, 26, and 37. Ryan Williams, the rookie sensation and Milroe’s favorite target, scored his fourth touchdown of the year and assisted his quarterback in scoring 14 touchdowns overall.
Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer has watched four players gain SEC accolades, with Williams earning SEC Freshman of the Week and safety Keon Sabb being awarded the SEC Defensive Player of the Week after week one.
