JaMarcus Shephard, Chris Kapilovic, Maurice Lindquist are new to Alabama football staff

Following Alabama’s Thursday practice, the first for the Crimson Tide since its 42-10 win at Wisconsin and before Bama hosts Georgia Saturday, September 28 (6:30 p.m. CDT) three Alabama coaches who joined Kalen DeBoer’s staff shared their thoughts when hearing of Nick Saban’s January 10 retirement and their paths to Bama. The three are part of an extraordinary domino effect in the college football world, a compilation that over 400 positions were affected from high school through Group of Five and Power Four positions, to the NFL by the Saban retirement.
One more week, one more complete ‘Following the Future’ itinerary for Alabama commits across the nation. Among the 2025, ’26, and ’27 classes, all but one are back in operation.
Keelon Russell wants to carry on with Duncanville (TX) after an outstanding start to his senior campaign. After witnessing the first two games of the season, 247Sports’ Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins has compared the five-star to players like Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels. Except for five-star Ty Haywood, every other player in the No. 2 recruiting class is participating. Jackson Lloyd will complete the proceedings on Saturday afternoon, after Steve Mboumoua gets things underway on Thursday night.
