Anthony Davis Described His “Frustrated and Upset” Feelings About Dalton Knecht

After defeating the New Orleans Pelicans 104-99 on Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers have now won five straight games and are 9-4 on the season. The best part is that they accomplished this despite a few injuries that forced some players to take on more responsibility. Dalton Knecht, a rookie first-round draft pick, is one player whose number head coach JJ Redick has called frequently over the last two games. Knecht hosted a coming-out party on Saturday night in addition to answering the call. For the second straight game, Knecht started and scored 27 points despite the absence of Rui Hachimura and Cam Reddish.
Davis, who scored 31 points against the Pelicans to lead the Lakers in scoring once more, wants Knecht to shoot frequently. According to Lakers Nation, the 31-year-old said he becomes “frustrated and upset” when his colleague fails to shoot. Davis stated on Saturday, “We think it’s going to go in every time he shoots the ball.” “That’s the reason we become so angry and furious when he doesn’t shoot. He is an excellent player. A rookie making an early impression is commended if your nine-time All-Star teammate is concerned about your lack of shots.
