In an exclusive report released today, ESPN has confirmed that Virginia Tech’s iconic Lane Stadium, home to the Hokies football program, will undergo a sweeping \$1.3 billion renovation — the largest and most ambitious upgrade in the stadium’s history. This monumental project aims not only to modernize the aging facility but to transform it into the premier college football venue in the nation.

Lane Stadium, long renowned for its electric game-day atmosphere and the thunderous entrance to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” has stood as a pillar of Hokie pride since 1965.
