BREAKING: Explorers Hotel Paris – Disneyland® Releases Urgent Statement Regarding Guest Safety Incident

PARIS, FRANCE – The Explorers Hotel Paris – Disneyland®, a popular family-themed hotel located just minutes from Disneyland® Paris, has released an official statement today regarding a developing situation that has sparked concern among guests and online chatter.

According to the statement issued by the hotel’s management team on Monday morning, the incident involves what they described as a “temporary disruption in guest services” and an ongoing review of a safety-related concern that arose late Sunday evening.

> Official Hotel Statement:

“The safety and well-being of our guests are our top priorities. Last night, we became aware of a situation involving an isolated section of the hotel’s recreational area. In response, we immediately activated our emergency procedures, notified local authorities, and temporarily restricted access to ensure guest safety. At this time, we can confirm that no injuries have been reported. We are cooperating fully with local inspectors and will provide further updates as necessary.”

While the hotel has not yet confirmed the specifics of the disruption, several guests took to social media overnight, describing an unusual closure of the indoor aquatic adventure pool area, one of the hotel’s most iconic attractions. Unverified images posted to Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) showed security personnel near the pool zone and signage indicating the area was “closed until further notice.”

Rumors swirled quickly, with some posts mentioning a “mechanical issue” and others suggesting a potential chemical concern in the water filtration system. As of now, no cause has been confirmed by hotel management or municipal authorities.

The hotel’s front desk and concierge services remain operational, and all other amenities — including dining, the cinema area, and shuttle services to Disneyland® Paris — continue to run without interruption. Hotel representatives have reassured guests that the situation is under control and that any guests affected directly are being personally contacted and accommodated.

Parents, in particular, have expressed concern, as the Explorers Hotel caters primarily to families with young children visiting the Disneyland® parks. Many guests praised the hotel staff’s calm and professional handling of the situation.

> “We were at the hotel when it happened — staff were quick to help and made sure everyone was safe,” said Marie Leclerc, a guest from Lyon. “We just hope it’s nothing serious.”

Meanwhile, local emergency officials have confirmed their involvement. A spokesperson for the Seine-et-Marne fire services stated:

> “We were called to the site as a precautionary measure. No evacuation was necessary. We are currently reviewing equipment and facility conditions to ensure everything is up to standard.”

The hotel has promised to release another update within the next 24 hours and is offering complimentary vouchers and shuttle upgrades to guests inconvenienced by the closure.

As the situation develops, Explorers Hotel has urged guests to stay informed only through official hotel communications and to avoid spreading unverified information online.
