Three strategies to win Alabama football over South Florida

Alabama vs. South Florida Game Preview and Prediction - College Football Week 2

One week after Alabama football defeated Western Kentucky 63-0 to start the 2024 season, the Tide will try to keep things hot on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium when they take on South Florida. Last year, the Bulls frightened the Crimson Tide in Tampa, and Kalen DeBoer’s team will attempt to steer clear of another matchup so close.

Kickoff for the game is set for 6 p.m. CT. ESPN will broadcast it.

The offense of Alabama didn’t muster many drives in the victory last week. The explanation is that the Crimson Tide was spared.

Due to the excessive quantity of spectacular plays, UA’s drives were brief. Whether the Tide takes a little longer to score touchdowns after receiving the ball will be an intriguing thing to observe when they play South Florida.

Last season, Alabama had a terrible offensive campaign against the Bulls, with careless play on all fronts. In that particular game, Ty Simpson relieved quarterback Jalen Milroe, who was benched in favor of Tyler Buchner.

Next week’s showdown against the first Power 5 opponent means that Saturday’s game will be about fine-tuning the machine. If the Tide wants to keep up its current performance, it cannot afford to have another one like last year’s.

The Walk of Champions will host the ceremony at 2:30 p.m. CT. Due to their usual gameday preparation duties, Alabama’s players won’t be able to attend, but DeBoer expressed his expectation that they will be heavily involved in the day’s events.

As he has done for the past 17 years, DeBoer stated on Monday, “It’s something that I know we have a lot of respect for and gonna make sure that we continue to do everything we can to make it our house and protect our field from here on out.”

The best way for the Crimson Tide’s players to pay tribute to Saban on the field that will bear his name is to keep winning games.
