Coach of Alabama’s offensive line ‘had some ideas’ to address the helmet problems with the Tide center.

Alabama’s centers haven’t always had an easy time with the seemingly straightforward things.
It was snapping the ball the previous season. This season, there have been some glitches there, but for rookie center Parker Brailsford, a different problem has emerged: maintaining his helmet on his head.
Over the course of the first three games, Brailsford’s helmet has come off in at least four instances. Every time Brailsford has been forced by rule to sit out a play, one of the backups, Geno VanDeMark or Roq Montgomery, has to take his place.
In the first quarter of the season opener against Western Kentucky, Brailsford was blocked to the ground and his head collided with another player, causing his helmet to come off. The following week, when playing USF, Brailsford received hits to the face from a pass rusher twice in one drive, which resulted in his helmet coming off both times.
Guard Tyler Booker stated last week, “I told him we needed to put Velcro on chin or something so his helmet would stop popping up.”
