The team source for Alabama football verified to AL.com that the team’s pro day is set for March 20.
The news was initially reported by ESPN commentator Jordan Reid on Monday night. He added that Georgia will conduct its showcase event on March 13, one week ahead of schedule.
For the first time in almost 20 years, UA will not be led by Nick Saban on a pro day in Tuscaloosa. Even so, some of the top players from his final squad should be there.
Four Alabama players are among the top 25 overall prospects, according to ESPN’s Field Yates: Terrion Arnold (16th), JC Latham (15th), Dallas Turner (10th), and Kool-Aid McKinstry (21st). Chris Braswell and Justin Eboigbe are likewise well-regarded in their respective fields. Along with kicker Will Reichard, they are all in Mobile for this week’s Senior Bowl.
Which players will be present on pro day is unknown.
49 first-round selections were made by Saban throughout his 17 seasons as Alabama’s coach. Over that span, the Tide dropped a total of 29 games.
