White’s coaching tenure began at Jacksonville State, where he served as an assistant coach from 2000 to 2004. His next move took him to Ole Miss, where he spent seven seasons as an assistant coach, further honing his skills and preparing for a head coaching role.

In May 2015, White returned to his home state of Florida when he was appointed head coach of the Florida Gators men’s basketball team. Over seven seasons, he compiled a 142-88 record, leading the Gators to four NCAA Tournament appearances. Notably, in the 2016-17 season, White guided Florida to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight, earning SEC Coach of the Year honors .
