Kevin “Steven” Stefanski expressed his gratitude for winning the Browns’ second Coach of the Year honor.

At the NFL Honors on Thursday night, Steven Stefanski and the Cleveland Browns both came away with major wins.

To be clear, among the four main accolades that Cleveland won, head coach Kevin Stefanski of the Browns was selected The Associated Press NFL Coach of the Year.

But actor Justin Hartley declared Steven Stefanski the winner by error. It turns out that neither Kevin nor Steven attended the awards ceremony in Las Vegas.

Kevin was nevertheless present and delighted to hear the name of his actual relative being called out.

Stefanski admitted, “I did [see NFL Honors],” to 92.3 The Fan. My cousin Steve Stefanski had an amazing time last night, you know. My son grabbed my phone and we contacted my cousin Steve after the man indicated that his phone was blowing up. He then says, “I did it,” when he answers the phone. He reminded me that perseverance is rewarded, therefore congrats to my cousin Steve.”

Although Stefanski in his role as head coach may have had the most memorable award-winning event, he wasn’t the only person to receive praise for the efforts of a 2023 Browns team that made it back to the postseason in spite of a string of serious injuries.

defensive end Quarterback Myles Garrett was chosen as the AP Defensive Player of the Year.
