Forward Nick Pringle, an Alabama basketball transfer, announced on his Instagram profile that he had committed to South Carolina.
To finish his collegiate career, Pringle goes back to his native South Carolina, specifically to Seabrook. After a whirlwind two seasons at Alabama, a transfer to junior college, and a start at Wofford, he will be in his fifth and final year of eligibility.
In 2023โ24, Pringle had a roller coaster of a season for the Crimson Tide, serving several suspensions before settling into a groove as an emotional leader and a starter in the NCAA Tournament as Alabama advanced to its first-ever Final Four.
During the 2024โ25 season, Pringle will represent the 2024 SEC Coach of the Year, Lamont Paris, at South Carolina. He will also get the opportunity to play a game against his old team, Alabama. The Gamecocks, who were seeded six in the NCAA Tournament, were defeated in the opening round.
So far, Pringle (Alabama) has committed to four different schools: Rylan Griffen (Kansas), Davin Cosby (Wake Forest), Sam Walters (Michigan), and Pringle. Mohamed and Kris Parker.
Wague are the two Alabama transfers that remain uncommitted.
To fill the void left by the six transfer exits, Nate Oats and his staff have already made three additions by way of the transfer portal, adding Houston Mallette from Pepperdine, Chris Youngblood from South Florida, and Aden Holloway from Auburn.
