Siakam rejects four-year contract terms on $189M with Pacers after a final decision…

 

Siakam will be committed to the Pacers for four years under the terms of his new contract, which will cost $189.5 million. The NBA’s free agency moratorium ends on July 6, which is when he will formally sign the contract. It was reported earlier this week that he was presented with the offer.
Siakam was traded by the Toronto Raptors to the Pacers in January. Even though Siakam was a free agent, Indiana nevertheless gave up Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora, Kira Lewis Jr., and three first-round draft picks, knowing they would likely be able to re-sign him.

During the 2023–24 regular season, Siakam averaged 21.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 41 games with the Pacers. At 21.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game, he went on to play a crucial role in Indiana’s march to the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Raptors selected Pascal Siakam with the 27th overall pick in 2016 to begin his professional career. In 2019, he was chosen as the NBA’s Most Improved Player.
