Deal completed: the offensively gifted Seahawks join the UFL….
On Monday, the Seahawks strengthened their backfield. The team declared that running back Ricky Person Jr. had signed a contract.
Having amassed over 2,000 scrimmage yards in four seasons at North Carolina State, Person Jr. made an impression on the Ravens in 2022 as an undrafted free agent. The running back joined the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League after playing much of his rookie season on the practice squad.
Person saw more playing time this past season after playing sporadically as a reserve in 2023. In addition to finishing the season with six touchdowns, the running back was particularly noteworthy for gaining 102 rushing yards in his team’s championship victory.
