Jerry Dipoto, the president of baseball operations for the Seattle Mariners, just isn’t able to get anyone angry this week.
On Tuesday, Dipoto angered Mariners fans by staying silent. On Wednesday, he did the same thing after remarks made by former outfielder Jarred Kelenic were leaked on social media.
During an interview with the “Foul Territory” podcast, Kelenic stated that two remarks made by Dipoto in 2024 turned into major unneeded distractions.
Dipoto made the “Prime Babe Ruth” remark in June to Seattle Sports 710 in answer to a query regarding potential additions by the M’s to halt the team’s losing start to the season.
